November's issue of Forsyth County News is out now!
In this month's edition:
- Ribbon Cut for New Tanglewood Clubhouse: Forsyth County Commissioners celebrated the opening of the new Tanglewood Clubhouse, featuring an ADA-accessible Pro Shop, the 19th Hole grill and bar, and public meeting spaces.
- First-Time Homebuyer Resource Fair: Nov. 8 at the Forsyth County Central Library, the event connects new homebuyers with local lenders, realtors, and support programs.
- Commissioners Update: Commissioners participated in WSSU’s Homecoming Parade and will hold regular meetings in November, all streamed live via YouTube, Facebook, and WSTV13 from the Government Center.
- Election Day – Nov. 4: Municipal elections (outside Winston-Salem) take place Nov. 4. Early Voting ends Nov. 1.
- Diabetes Awareness Events (Nov. 3–5): Free health screenings, fitness activities, and educational sessions at Forsyth Public Health.
- Community Grant Funding Applications: Forsyth County is accepting FY 2026–2027 Community Grant applications through Nov. 30, 2025.
- Food Safety Forum: English session on Nov. 17 and Spanish session on Nov. 10 at Forsyth Public Health, providing food safety education for food service operators and partners.
- Operation Green Light: From Nov. 4–11, county buildings will display green lights to honor veterans. Residents and businesses are encouraged to join in the tribute.
- Amos Cottage Property for Sale: Forsyth County is accepting fair market offers for the 3.21-acre property at 3325 Silas Creek Parkway.
- Other highlights include the Age Friendly Conference, Employee Service Awards, a Domestic Violence Awareness vigil, and the World of Work.
