Learn what's behind the numbers on food nutrition labels

Fat, sodium, and sugar are common nutrients, but what are their numbers on food labels telling us? Join us to learn about some basic nutrients listed on labels and what their numbers really mean at Reading Food Labels on Tuesday, April 1 at the Lewisville Branch Library.

Virginia Lopez, family and consumer sciences agent of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, will discuss how to make healthy choices in meal planning, grocery shopping, and a daily diet. A fun taste test will also be part of this program (food waiver required). Don’t miss this chance to learn about healthier options while savoring delicious flavors.

Registration is requested by Sunday, March 30. Register online or call the Lewisville Branch at 336-703-2940.

Directions to the Lewisville Branch Library. All Forsyth County Public Library programs are free and open to the public.
