Experience the Spirit of Harriet Tubman in a Live Dramatization
Join us for a one-woman show about the life of Harriet Tubman on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Lewisville Branch Library. This event is just ahead of February's Black History Month activities and is one that you won't want to miss.
Local writer/performer Diane Faison will portray the life of the iconic abolitionist who led many enslaved people to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Faison has received grants and awards for her performance of this play at numerous schools, churches and senior living communities over the years and continues to perform in a devotion to keeping the lessons from history alive.
This program is recommended for adults and children 10 and above. For more information, call the Lewisville Branch at 336-703-2940.
