Soil Health ***CANCELLED***

Healthy soil is the secret to successful gardens and lawns. Healthy soil has been found to be highly productive, optimally functional, and naturally able to recover from disturbances. How can a home or community gardener tell if their soil is healthy? Cameron Waters and Celine Richard of the N.C. Cooperative Extension will teach participants the benefits of soil testing and the steps to building healthy soil.

Waters is the Community Gardening Program Coordinator at the N.C. Cooperative Extension and Richard is an agent in the Horticulture, Small Farms, Urban Agriculture, and Local Food section.

This free, outdoor, in-person program will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shallowford Square Pavilion. The program is recommended for adults. Please bring your own chair.
