Two art exhibits at the Central Library through Aug. 31

We hope you will stop by the Central Library to enjoy the exhibits by photographer Justin Carrigan and painter Raman Bhardwaj.

Justin Carrigan is a Winston-Salem native who specializes in photography and mixed media. Justin grew up on the north side of town, and has always been in tune with the arts. He attended Mount Tabor High School and North Carolina A&T State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass media. Music and photography have always been his first loves. This exhibit shows a glimpse into his perspective, his appreciation for the art of photography and his love of his culture.

Raman Bhardwaj is a native of India, currently living in Greensboro. He is a painter, illustrator and muralist, and his paintings are inspired by the mythical characters of his culture. He is fascinated by stories of characters that are emotional like humans but powerful like gods, especially female characters. His work reflects a contrast between male and female, humans and gods. Through his artwork he hopes to inspire others to overcome obstacles, create magic and be brave.

These two exhibits are on the second floor of the Central Library, and will be on display until Aug. 31.
