Convert your old VHS, music tapes, old photographs, negatives and slides.

Do you have family photos, old VHS tapes, slides of family gatherings, music or family recordings on audio cassettes, or old documents that you wish were in digital format? You can do so at the Walkertown library that offers Digitization Stations.

Materials stored in digital format make it easier to create a digital scrapbook and to share via the Internet with family and friends.

You may use the equipment on a walk-in basis or call ahead to reserve time. We have a helpful set of instructions. Call 336-703-2990 to sign up.

This is a free service.

The station is free and open to the public. All library users have access to equipment that will scan flat documents (such as papers and photographs), slides, as well as audio equipment that can copy VHS tapes, and audio cassettes to digital files -- a perfect way to preserve old photographs, documents, videos and music.

Sign up by calling the Walkertown Branch Library at 336-703-2990, or email to walkertownlibrary@gmail.com.
