Walkertown Book Club meets Thursday, April 29 at 11 a.m.

Spring into April with a brand-new pick for Walkertown Virtual Book Club! Treat yourself to a new book and connect with other readers in the community. Each month a book will be selected and discussed on the last Thursday of the month via Zoom. Please register to receive the Zoom link via email--the link will be sent in the days before the book club meeting.

April’s pick is “Educated” by Tara Westover. Let's swap thoughts and discuss the book. This book traces the author's experiences as a child born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, describing her participation in her family's paranoid stockpiling activities and her resolve to educate herself well enough to earn an acceptance into a prestigious university and the unfamiliar world beyond.
