Kids Programs Feedback Survey

Grab Bags

All season long

(Fun for kids of all ages, up to age 18)

Grab bags are back! You can request a bag of up to 10 books curated by library staff to pick up during pick-up hours. With just a bit of information from this form, we can grab a bag of books we think you'll like (with a surprise or two thrown in).

Do you feel like some picture books about sports? We can help! Maybe some chapter books about science? We have those too! Not sure what you'd like? No problem! The benefit of the library is: if you don't like it, bring it back and we'll try again.

Zoom Storytime

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

(Fun for littles and tots, up to age 5)

As the weather cools, prepare to get cozy at home with our free virtual storytimes. Grab whatever you need to get cozy and join Miss April Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in December.

You can find more information, including previous storytime selections and the sign-up information, by clicking the image above or this link.

October 1-31

(Fun for tweens and teens, ages 12-17)

TeenTober is a nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October. It’s a celebration of teens. This month we are going to host several programs aimed at helping teens learn new skills and fuel their passions in and outside the library.

You can find more information, including all the programs Forsyth County Public Libraries are bringing to you, by clicking the image above or this link.

October 26 - 31

(Fun for kids of all ages, up to age 18)

Halloween this year is on a Saturday, so we'll be celebrating the whole week through!

Come by in costume (even if your costume is your pajamas!) to vote on our pumpkin decorating contest and grab a trick-or-treat grab bag during browsing hours the week of Halloween. Miss April will be at Walkertown Branch Library on Saturday, October 31 in costume, but you know she'll be dressed for the season the entire week.
Our pumpkin curtain will also be available in the kids area as a fun photo backdrop. Maybe Halloween is the perfect time to get a button made for our Buttons and Bright Smiles program.

A Very Special (Zoom) Storytime

Thursday, December 3 at 4:00 p.m.

(Fun for kids of all ages, up to age 18)

Walkertown Branch Library is excited to host our holly jolly visitor this year! There will be stories, music, and a special story from our special visitor! We'll also relay holiday wishes and ask questions brought to us in advance.

This program will be hosted on Zoom. “Doors” will open at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3 and the program will start at 4:30 p.m. Registration is required; you can register using this link.
