Kids enjoying the Music: Art in Motion! program with Salem College

A program for kids of all ages
What do scarves, paint, and emoji balls have in common? Come find out at “Music: Art in Motion!” Join Scarlette Kerr and Natalie Doughty from Salem College to explore the relationships between music, motion, and visual art. Activities include listening to music while using movement to tell a story, using emotions to direct types of body movement with rhythm, and using visual art as a way to express how one listens to music.
These ladies have collaborated in multiple projects not only for young professionals but also for young children. These workshops include incorporating visual art with motion and music, understanding rhythm through language arts, and incorporating artistry in music making through critical thinking and self-discovery.
