Homeless people occupy the library in "The Public." Watch and discuss on Tuesday, April 23
An arctic blast leads the homeless community of Cincinnati to occupy the library as a shelter in "The Public." We're partnering with Aperture to watch the movie and have a panel discussion afterwards. Elizabeth Skinner, associate library director will moderate a panel made up of people who work with homeless people in Winston-Salem.
You can view the film on its own at Aperture from April 19-25. To buy ticket to any showing or showing/discussion, visit A/perture's website
There will be additional discussions about the film at Central Library on Wednesday, May 1 at noon and Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m.
