Forsyth County Public Library's Sensory-Friendly Newsletter is designed for families with children, teens and adults with sensory issues. The programs, books and community support groups will help families find programs and information geared toward this community.

Central Library: Children's Department

  • Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m.—Instrument Petting Zoo

Children (ages 5 and up) and their caregivers are welcome to visit the Children's Room at Central Library to explore instruments through touching, hearing and playing a variety of musical instruments. Please feel free to bring in your noise-cancelling headphones. Call 336-703-3040 to register.

  • Saturday, April 18 at 1:30 p.m.—Sensory-Friendly Saturday Movie: “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax”

Lewisville Branch Library

  • Tuesday, March 17 from 4 - 5 p.m.- Make St. Patrick's Day Slime

Make green and gold slime in honor of St. Patrick's Day. This sensory and STEAM activity is recommended for grades K-12. Parental supervision required for children 8 and younger.

Paddison Memorial Branch Library
