Afterthoughts Book Club Meets June 14th at Walkertown

In June, the Afterthoughts Book Club at Walkertown Branch Library will be discussing the international bestselling novel A Man Called Ove by Swedish author Fredrik Backman. Published in 2012, Backman explores with humor and heart a cantankerous older man who crosses paths with a friendly young family.

Ove is the quintessential curmudgeon. Set in his ways, he knows what he likes and he definitely knows what he dislikes. When an outgoing young family becomes his new neighbors, they’re set on a collision course for conflict. As the nature of Ove’s loneliness comes to light, however, it quickly becomes clear there’s much more to him than meets the eye.

The Afterthoughts Book Club will meet on Thursday, June 14th at 11 am. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to join us for a friendly and interesting discussion!
