Captain Dwayne Hedgecock Retires

Captain Hedgecock began his Law Enforcement career in 1988 as a Deputy Sheriff assigned to the Field Services Division. In 1992, he became the first Community Policing Deputy to be assigned to the Village of Clemmons. Captain Hedgecock has worked in Criminal investigations, Field Services, Judicial Services and Professional Standards divisions during his career.

Captain Hedgecock is certified as a General and Driving Instructor. In 2008, he was chosen to attend the FBI National Academy. Captain Hedgecock also earned an Advanced Law Enforcement certificate from the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education and Training Standards Commission.
