New Pronunciator Feature: ProLive Conversation Groups
Live conversation is a critical component of successful language acquisition, so Pronunciator now offers ongoing, live, teacher-led conversation groups for language learners of all levels, from beginner to advanced. These 30-minute sessions can be launched directly from Pronunciator Web, and are limited to 5 students per session.
Languages will be rolled out at a rate of 1 to 2 per week. The first language is Mandarin Chinese, for which 31 half-hour sessions are currently available each week. Next to be added are English (for those learning English as a second language), Spanish, and French.
To join a ProLive session, you will need to be logged in to Pronunciator, within the language of choice, 5 minutes before the session begins. ProLive uses the free GoToMeeting software to facilitate the meetings, so you must have GoToMeeting installed prior to the start of the session. You will need a microphone attached to your computer in order to actively participate.
An interactive calendar is also available within the course menu of each language that has ProLive, so all upcoming classes for the week can be viewed at a glance. Sessions can also be joined directly from the calendar.
