Domestic Violence Awareness

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. It is happening in our neighborhoods and in our families. Anyone can be a victim of domestic violence, regardless of race, age ethnicity, sexual orientation, or economic status. Abusers control and terrorize our daughters, bosses, sisters, friends, and even our sons – who are most often abused by their male partners and sometimes their female partners.

Join us by wearing purple to bring awareness to the issues faced by battered women, children and men. Our guest speaker for this event is Kendra Davis. You do not want to miss this program. Kendra Davis is a phenomenal powerhouse speaker. She is committed to empowering individuals with the necessary tools and resources required to make them a better person. Kendra Davis is a trainer, professional development coach and empowerment specialist. Her education consist of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology (1999) and a Master of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling (2009) all from Winston-Salem State University.

Mark your calendar and join us on Saturday, October 11th at 12 noon.
