Forsyth County Public Library - 2014 Summer Reading

The count down is on!! Summer Reading 2014 is just around the corner with great books to read, and fantastic programs and activities for the entire family. This summer our theme is science, and our books and programs are bound to have our young readers “FIZZ, BOOM, READ”, our teens and young adults to “SPARK A REACTION" and give our adults great “LITERARY ELEMENTS”.

Join us for our annual summer reading kickoff on Friday, June 6th at 6:30 pm on the corner of Trade Street and Liberty Streets, during DADA’s Gallery Hop, featuring our talented Youth Service Librarians, hand clapping, get you out of your seat band BIG BANG BOOM and a few surprise guests too! It will be a great night to celebrate our kickoff, and an opportunity to register for summer reading and enjoy downtown festivities.

Nothing drives a child's imagination quite like reading. Reading cultivates creativity and critical thinking, and is the catalyst for a lifetime of academic success. Forsyth County Public Library is committed to providing a Summer Reading Program that inspires a love of reading and learning in children and teens and encourages them to read throughout the summer and all year long. Who knows what discoveries will surface from the minds of our youth who spend the Summer immersed in Reading.

We look forward seeing you.
