Not Too Down or Out - Movie Series

Enjoy these entertaining and uplifting movies, all with the theme of homelessness. These films will be shown in the Central Library Auditorium on Thursday afternoons.

February 14, at 2:30 pm. In this comedy, a miserable homeless man tries to commit suicide in the swimming pool of a rich Beverly Hills couple. They decide to take him in, with the result that everyone's life is transformed. 1986, Rated R. Starring Bette Midler, Richard Dreyfuss, and Nick Nolte.

While stuggling to make ends meet, and then staying in shelters with his young son, Chris Gardner takes a chance on an unpaid internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm with no guarantee of a job.
