Get Your Green On at Central Library this week!

Get Your Green On with three green and growing programs for families in April:

Yoga Tree with Lisa on Monday, April 2 at 4 pm in the Central Library auditorium. Learn how to reach right up to the sky in tree pose, or swim the seas with dolphin pose. You’ll soon discover how yoga can help you take care of yourself while having lots of fun with family and friends. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and learn about this ancient practice.

Are Those Hoot Owls Underground? Following yoga at 5:30, you are welcome to join us for a great environmental family film based on Carl Hiassen’s beloved novel, Hoot! In his first novel-turned-movie for a younger audience, Carl Hiaasen plunges viewers right into the middle of an ecological mystery, made up of endangered miniature owls, Mother Paula's All-American Pancake House, and the owls' unlikely allies--three middle school kids determined to beat the system. Bring a snack and sit back and enjoy the movie!

The Lorax is in the House! Yes, the Lorax is in the house for Things to do Thursday on April 5 at 4 pm. We have a very special performance given by Carl Lombardi of the much loved Dr. Seuss book, The Lorax. Dr. Seuss’ fable cautions us not to fool with Mother Nature, but as you might expect from Seuss, the story is told with rhyme and humor.
