What Should a New Central Library Look Like?

The library is currently in the middle of conducting meetings to gather input about what the community thinks a new Central Library should look like. Our first meeting provided many different comments and suggestions about the look, feel and function of a new building.

However, we realize not everyone who would like to add their comments to the list is able to attend one of these meetings. Not to worry. We are providing a way for you to share your thoughts about a new Central Library with us through our website. Send your comments and suggestions to drdwiggins@gmail.com.

Before posting your comments, we invite you to first take a look at a brief video on new Central Libraries in Greensboro and High Point which is shown to everyone attending our community meetings.

When thinking about your comments consider the library in terms of the following broad categories:

  • Activities & Services
  • Technology
  • Community Gathering Place
  • Exterior/Interior Possibilities

Thanks for your input. All suggestions will be gathered and passed along to the architect once one is selected.
