India, the second most populous country in the world, is a land of excitement, beauty, charm and mystery. It’s a land of rich culture, wonderful people, and natural beauty. Lizzie Martin, a graduate of Forsyth Country Day school, spent a year living in India through the Princeton Bridge Program where she was able to experience the culture and people up close and personal.
In her time there she studied the Hindi language, taught crocheting to locals and was immersed in everyday Indian life and customs. Now back home in Winston-Salem, she will share her myriad of experiences of her time in India. You can read Lizzie’s blog at www.lizziemartin.blogspot.com.
Join us for this free program at the Lewisville Library on Thursday, July 8th at 4:00 pm.
