Upcoming Home and Gardening Programs

As spring moves into high gear, the Library’s home and gardening series, in conjunction with the Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Service, offers these upcoming programs to inspire your imagination for home and garden possibilities. Call 703-2867 to register for any of these free programs.

Attracting Birds to the Landscape
Urban landscapes make up an increasing percentage of potential wildlife habitats. With proper management and hard work, these areas provide valuable space for many wildlife species, especially birds. This program will teach you what plants to add to your landscape that will feed birds throughout the winter months, which plants give good cover, and tips on attracting bluebirds. Reynolda Manor Branch Library, Wednesday, May 5th @ 10:30 am

Carolina Yards and Gardens
Learn the basics of how to design, install and maintain a Carolina Yard - a yard that works with North Carolina's environment rather than against it. Clemmons Branch library, Tuesday, May 4th @ 6:30 pm

Rainwater Harvesting 101
This session will cover the basics of rain barrels: common problems, homemade versus manufactured, and where you can buy them locally. Lewisville Branch Library, Tuesday, May 4th @ 3 pm
