November is Native American Heritage Month. Join us to explore “Native American Genealogy 101" on Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 6-7 p.m. Tina H. Smith from the Lam Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest University will discuss the challenges and benefits of this particular research, how to start the process, and more. Shop for great deals at the Friends' Mini Fall Book Sale Friday, Oct. 22 - Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Lewisville Branch Library. All proceeds from the book sale will be used to support the Lewisville Branch Library. Participants can also join the Friends at the door.
This Thanksgiving...Give Hope, Give Life, Give Blood. Help someone in your community this holiday by donating blood. The American Red Cross will be on-site with their bloodmobile in the Lewisville Branch's parking lot on Friday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. What is your plan in an emergency or natural disaster? Volunteers from the American Red Cross will have classes for all ages this week to help you and your family be prepared. Come back Friday, Nov. 5 for our Give Thanks, Give Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

We will post all of the pictures on Lewisville Branch’s website and you may vote for your favorite creation via an online form from Oct. 22-28. The winning photo will be announced on Oct. 29.
