Recording Fee Increase Effective 10/1/11

The North Carolina General Assembly has modified the fees for recording documents. Effective October 1, 2011 the recording fees will increase for deeds, deeds of trust and other instruments.

New Fees Effective 10/1/11
Document Type Fee
Instruments except deeds of trust and mortgages $26 first 15 pages
$4 each add'l page
Deeds of trust and mortgages $56 first 15 pages
$4 each add'l page
Add'l subsequent instrument index reference $25 each
