Watch a virtual ecoEXPLORE educator from the Greensboro Science Center on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. The Zoom program is geared for children ages 5-13, and will be about insects. Please register online to receive the Zoom link.


OverDrive App to Be Discontinued on ChromeOS Nov. 20 and Windows Dec. 7

The OverDrive app will be removed from the Chrome Web Store on Nov. 20 and Windows store on Dec. 7. What does this mean for you? It just means that you will need to use the Libby by Overdrive app on your Android and Apple devices from here on out. Find more information here.


Craft Kits at Central Library

Pick up a weekly To-Go Craft Kit for preschool children filled with supplies and instructions to make a scissor-free craft. Elementary school children and their caregivers can pick up a weekly Take-and-Make Craft Kit with supplies and instructions. A live virtual demonstration of the Take-and-Make craft will be on Thursdays at 4 p.m. starting in November. There are a limited number of Craft Kits, so please call the Children's Room desk at 336-703-3040 before picking one up at Central Library.


Outdoor Movie at Central Library

Join us for a free, socially-distanced outdoor screening of the film "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" (PG-13) on the front lawn of the Forsyth County Central Library on Monday, Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m. Attendees may bring their own chairs or blankets to watch the movie. All attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Registration is required. Please call 336-703-3030 to register for this event.

Check out an ecoEXPLORE Discovery Pack at Central Library. Thanks to a partnership with the N.C. Arboretum, Central Library has three discovery packs filled with wildlife exploration materials for children to observe nature.
