Morning cloud cover has slightly dampened ozone production, allowing air quality levels to remain in the upper Code GREEN range today. Drier air will push in from the north this afternoon to help clear out skies and reduce cloud cover, lowering particle pollution levels to the upper Code GREEN range. A drier and cooler air mass will reside over the Triad on Sunday, keeping ozone and particle pollution levels within the upper Code GREEN range. Clouds and chances of rain increase on Monday as the upper level pattern buckles to allow a frontal boundary to nudge in from the southwest, keeping air quality levels Code GREEN. The frontal boundary then gets forced back south on Tuesday as the upper level pattern pushes in another shot of drier air from the north to keep air quality levels Code GREEN into mid-week. (Payne)
