Ozone readings are generally in the upper Code Green and lower Code Yellow ranges across most of the Triad. The exception is currently Greensboro where the past couple hours of been Code ORANGE and averages are expected to net out near the Code Yellow/ORANGE threshold in that area. Elevated ozone readings are anticipated to continue for the next couple of days when some hours of spotty readings in the lower Code ORANGE range are possible, however, averages are expected to net out in the upper Code Yellow range. Readings should finally fall back to the mid Code Yellow range for the first half of the weekend. Some Canadian wildfire smoke may make a brief appearance on Friday when particle pollution could increase toward the mid Code Yellow range. But winds are expected to turn southwesterly by Saturday and bring readings back down to the lower Code Yellow range. (Greg Perrotte / perrotgt@forsyth.cc)
