Forsyth Public Health to give fall COVID and Flu shots starting Oct. 2

Forsyth County Department of Public Health, 799 N. Highland Ave, will be offering the latest no-cost flu and COVID-19 vaccinations starting on October 2.

The walk-in vaccination clinic hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. No appointment is needed. No insurance or ID is needed. Individuals can receive both the flu and COVID vaccines at the same time.

The FDA and CDC approved and recommended the updated Moderna and Pfizer COVID vaccine for everyone six months and up. If you have had a previous dose of COVID vaccine, you should wait at least two months to get the fall vaccine. Individuals will still need to stay for a 15-minute observation period after receiving the COVID vaccine.
