Parks and Recreation

The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to serving all residents and visitors of Forsyth County through park development and recreational activities. Our nine parks are designed to offer opportunities to enjoy nature and the out-of-doors. We offer programs which help recharge physical and mental energies in a recreational atmosphere.

  • Fishing at Kernersville Lake Park
    Nothing is more relaxing than a day of fishing at Kernersville Lake Park.
  • Disc Golf
    The County's only disc golf course can be found at Horizons Park.
  • RV Campground
    Tanglewood Park is now home to a new RV Campground!
  • Happy Hounds Dog Park
    Let your dog off the leash at the Horizons Park Happy Hound Dog Park.
  • Peter S. Brunstetter Aquatic Center
    Cool off at the Peter S. Brunstetter Aquatic Center located at Tanglewood Park.
  • Old 421 River Park
    Old U.S. 421 River Park is one of several access points for canoeing and fishing along the Yadkin River Trail.
  • BMX Track
    Enjoy off-road bicycle racing at Tanglewood's BMX Course.
  • Woodland Hall
    Triad Park offers Woodland Hall, a beautiful banquet facility and reception site.
  • Rock Climbing at Triad Park
    Kids of all ages love rock climbing at Triad Park.

    Clemmons, NC- Forsyth County Parks & Recreation will not host its own fireworks display at Tanglewood Park due to the cost to put on the event exceeding the level of sponsorship in place.
