Photos from "We Wear The Mask" Teen Maker Workshops

Recently the Library, in partnership with the Center for Design Innovation, offered two, one-day maker workshops for teens. The workshops blended the art of storytelling with the creative potential of 3D technology and additional maker activities to tell stories through masks.

After observing a dramatic interpretation by the North Carolina Black Repertory Company of "We Wear the Mask" by Paul Laurence Dunbar, students went to work creating their own masks as seen in the image above.

Finished masks will be on public display at all nine branch libraries throughout Forsyth County. We invite you to stop by your local branch to get a first hand look at the creative work performed by a talented group of local middle and high school students.
