A week of programs on various financial topics at Forsyth County Public Library Branches.

The Library sponsors this annual series of programs
to help you learn how to be smart with your money.
The following programs are scheduled for
Money Smart Week 2016:

April 25
Walkertown Branch, 2:45 - 4 pm, and again at 4:30 - 5:30 pm
Money Habitudes for Teens

Students in grades 6 through college are welcome at either time. ‘Money Habitudes® for Teens’ card game prompts students to talk about money in a fun, non-threatening way. The hands-on conversation starter and money personality assessment help teens understand each one's own unique spending habits and attitudes that affect their financial decisions. Leading the game will be Betty Ann Falkner, Director of the Center for Smart Financial Choices.

Reynolda Manor Branch, 7 pm
How to Improve your Credit Score

Tips on how to raise your credit score and things people mistakenly do that lowers their score- it isn’t always common sense. Presented by Glenn Kirk from Summit Credit Union.

Walkertown Branch, 6:30 pm
S.A.F.E Discussion (Security Awareness For Everyone)

Helpful tips to prevent identity theft and to improve cyber security in your home and mobile devices. Presented by Beverly Nelson from Forsyth County MIS Department.

Reynolda Manor Branch, 7 pm
Financial Pitfalls Facing College Students

This program for parents and students raises financial and money management issues crucial to any college student. Presented by Lindy Fuller from Summit Credit Union.

Kernersville Branch, 10:30 am
Preparing Your Estate Plan

Do you know where your assets will go when you die? If not, this seminar will help familiarize you with the basic steps of estate planning, including the function of a will and the different types of trusts. An estate-planning attorney will be present at this event. Presented by Kevin Hoppens from Edward Jones Investments. Call 336-703-2930 to register.
