This week in Summer Reading!

Continue the summer fun with us as we move from June to July! These programs (and many more!) will take place during the week of June 29-July 5.

Kids can meet some local heroes this week. Talk to Winston-Salem Police officers at our Reynolda Manor branch library, and Fire Department firefighters at the Southside branch. You can even meet four-legged officers when a K-9 Unit visits the Carver School Road library.

You like to see performers? We've got 'em! Captain Jim the Pirate Magician will be at the Clemmons branch this week. You can also see Rags to Riches perform "Jack Tales" there. Our system-wide performers, Bright Star Theatre, will perform their "Jackie Robinson" show at 3 locations (Lewisville, Malloy/Jordan East Winston Heritage Center, and the Walkertown branches), so you don't have to worry that you'll miss them! There's also the terrific Fish the Magish show at the Rural Hall branch library.

Time for Teens! At both Lewisville and Walkertown, Bright Star Theatre will do a teen acting/improv workshop after their children's shows.

Don’t forget our Summer Reading prizes: every reader that completes a summer reading log (that’s 480 minutes for kids and teens, 3 books for adults) will be entered into drawings for Barnes & Noble gift cards worth $25 and $100, AND every child under the age of 13 who completes a reading log will also be entered into a drawing to win two free tickets to a Wake Forest football game.
