Synopsis and Discussion

Ozone readings are in the upper Code Yellow range across much of the Triad on Thursday while particle pollution readings are in the lower Code Yellow range. Increasing moisture levels will be on tap for the next couple of days, along with the introduction of afternoon storm chances. In addition, surface wind speeds will be a bit higher which will help with ventilation and ozone levels are expected to decrease to the mid Moderate range tomorrow then upper Code Green range this weekend. Particle pollution concentrations will be a bit more stubborn, remaining in the lower Code Yellow range through Sunday, since at this time, a backdoor cold front’s arrival looks to hold off until Sunday night.
