Ozone readings have climbed into the lower Code ORANGE range this afternoon, which is Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups. Children, elderly, and people with any heart or lung disease (like asthma) should limit outdoor exertion both this afternoon/evening and once again tomorrow. Code ORANGE ozone concentrations are expected again on Wednesday with an additional day for air mass stagnation and very similar weather conditions to today. Open burning is prohibited on Wednesday. Particle pollution levels are expected to hover in the lower Code Yellow range tomorrow before we finally get some unsettled weather on Thursday and Friday. The increased rain chances will greatly improve air quality with Code Green AQI readings anticipated on both days. (Greg Perrotte perrotgt@forsyth.cc)
