Synopsis and Discussion

Air quality levels should just hold in the upper GREEN range as the remnants of Chantal slides into the southeastern parts of the Triad and brings heavy rain. This low will spins and start to creep east overnight as it fills in and becomes weaker. As is moves east, polluted air will fill in behind the low and cause AQI levels to push back into the YELLOW range for Monday. Temperatures will increase as the week progresses as highs reach into the low to mid 90s and dewpoints push into the lower 70s. Air quality should remain in the YELLOW range throughout mid-week as the weather stays hot and humid. (Bodenhamer)
