On December 21, 2019, Officer J. Barber voluntarily assisted a fellow officer in the Special Care Unit with inspecting a high volume of mail sent to inmates at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. While doing so, Officer Barber discovered a Schedule III controlled substance concealed inside an incoming parcel. Officer Barber was proactive by volunteering her time to assist with this important task and prevented an illegal drug from reaching the inmate population while doing so. Officer Barber is a great example of what it means to work as a team and the importance of paying attention to detail.
