Resource Spotlight: Self-Care

With a new decade comes a chance for a new you, or at least a new outlook on self-care practices. As you accomplish your achievements in the new year, it is important to remember to take care of yourself physically, mentally and emotionally. For the next couple of months, our resource spotlight will feature all kinds of resources to help promote your own self-care and awareness. From magazines to eBooks, databases and programs at the library, there are many opportunities for you to explore what works for you with us at FCPL.

To kick off your self-care journey, try out these resources, all free for our library patrons!

Adult Coloring Books with RBdigital
Coloring with leisure has proven to be relaxing for many people, and we offer a few different adult coloring books with our RBdigital access. Check them out for free with your library card and you can print out full-sized professionally published coloring sheets. You can hold onto these checkouts for as long as you like to find coloring pages whenever you please.

After the holidays, we all tend to feel a little stress on our wallets. It seems that no matter how much we budget or plan, we also spend more than necessary during the holidays. There are plenty of eBooks free for you to check out using Libby by Overdrive, but this title is a great place to start. It helps you through the process of understanding your spending, the cost of your lifestyle and how to identify lifestyle choices that truly make you happy and can help lead to a debt-free life. Check it out to see what inspiration you find.
