What is your plan in an emergency or natural disaster? Volunteers from the American Red Cross will have classes for all ages this week to help you and your family be prepared. Come back Friday, Nov. 5 for our Give Thanks, Give Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Programs for Children:

Red Cross: The Pillowcase Project (Virtual)
Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
For grades 3-5.
Red Cross volunteers will teach participants and their families how to be prepared and take action in the case of a home fire.

Thursday, Oct. 28 from 4:30 - 5 p.m.
For grades K-2.

Red Cross - “The Red Cross Ready” (In person & Virtual)
Monday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Are you “Red Cross Ready” should an emergency or natural disaster strike? Join us along with the American Red Cross to learn about simple steps that can be taken to prepare yourself, your family, your pets and your home in these types of situations. This program will include how to create a disaster preparedness kit, how to make a household disaster plan, and why it is important to be prepared. The topic of home fires will also be a component of this program. Registration is required for in-person attendance, registration is optional for virtual attendance. Red Cross - Disaster Preparedness for Seniors and Senior Caregivers (In person & Virtual)
Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m.
What is your plan in an emergency or natural disaster? Who will you go to should you need help? Do you have a list readily available of medications and medical providers? The Red Cross will show you how to create a Preparedness Plan that addresses these questions and other important considerations that are particular to seniors and senior caregivers in the event of an emergency or a natural disaster. Learn how you can become “Red Cross Ready.” Registration is required for in-person attendance, registration is optional for virtual attendance. Friday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
This Thanksgiving...Give Hope, Give Life, Give Blood. Help someone in your community this holiday by donating blood. The American Red Cross will be on-site with their bloodmobile in the Lewisville Branch Library's parking lot on Friday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
