Major Mark L. Elliott Retires

Major Mark L. Elliott began his Law Enforcement career in 1999. Major Elliott earned several promotions throughout his career with his last promotion to the rank of Major on January 26, 2019.

During his career, Major Elliott earned the FCSO 20 Years’ Service Commendation Bar, 25 FCSO and other agency's letters of commendation, the North Carolina DOJ Intermediate and Advanced Service Award, the Rufus Dalton Award recipient in 2012, and the FCSO Purple Heart Award.

Major Elliott served in the US Army, E-4 Specialist from 1988-1992. Major Elliott received several medals in the US Army as well as the Kuwaiti Liberation medal.

Throughout the course of his career, Major Elliott served in various capacities within the Support Services Bureau, Field Services Division, Investigative Services Division, Professional Standards Division, and Administrative Services Division. At the time of his retirement, he was the Major of the Enforcement Bureau.
