Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month, which is celebrated in June, recognizes the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan.
