Rose Garden
Miss Kate imported Frank Lustig from Germany to create the
stunning gardens and landscape enjoyed by thousands each year. Even after Miss
Kate’s death, Mr. Lustig stayed on at Tanglewood to continue her dream.
A feast for the eyes, the formal gardens feature a wonderful array
of flowers, roses and shrubs. In the Rose Garden, over 400 of the 800 rose
bushes are American Rose Society Winners. From the orderly and manicured grounds
to the lush forestland covering the surrounding 1,300 acres, the Park’s grounds
were carefully laid out by Mr. Lustig.
Today the gardens and woodlands are carefully taken
care of by a staff of experienced horticulturists who continue the vision of
Miss Kate and Mr. Lustig.
