On April 30, 2018, DO I Kabanuk had been assigned as the Female Intake Officer at the Law Enforcement Detention Center. Upon completing a thorough pat down of a new female arrestee, DO I Kabanuk escorted the arrestee to the female dress out room. While in the dress out room, DO I Kabanuk noticed an object under the arrestee’s left armpit. The object was identified as drug paraphernalia and the arrestee was given additional charges for possession of drug paraphernalia. Due to DO I Kabanuk’s attention to detail and quick reaction, she prevented the drug paraphernalia from making entry into a housing unit, therefore preventing potential injury to other inmates or staff.

DO I Kabanuk has been employed with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office since 2015.
