Detention Officer Stevens has been employed with the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center since June 2013. In April of 2015, Officer Stevens applied and successfully completed training to become a member of the Special Response Team.

On April 16, 2016 while assisting with a facility shakedown, Officer Stevens went above and beyond the call of duty while exhibiting great initiative. Officer Stevens suggested and volunteered to climb into the facility trash compacter to sift through trash in order to locate a missing kitchen utensil. Officer Stevens stood waist deep in trash and searched through countless bags of trash from the facility, including wet food items, for approximately four hours.

Officer Stevens never hesitates to perform all tasks assigned to him; a true testament to the passion and dedication he shows for his job.
