Come join our team of environmental health specialists. The Department of Public Health is seeking a team member to conduct sanitation evaluations of foodservice, institutional and lodging facilities, child day care facilities and group homes at prescribed frequencies. Additionally, the successful candidate will issue permits to new/remodeled establishments, suspend/revoke permits if needed, conduct epidemiological investigations of foodborne disease outbreaks, and investigate and resolve citizens' complaints. You will be interacting with the public in a regulatory capacity on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health from a program accredited by the National Accreditation Council for Environmental Health Curricula of the National Environmental Health Association and one year of experience in the field of environmental health; or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours in the physical or biological sciences and two years of experience in the field of environmental health. Registered as an Environmental Health Specialist (Sanitarian) by the NC State Board of Sanitarian Examiners. Must have a valid NC driver's license. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR A TRAINEE APPT: Graduation from a four-year college with a minimum of 30 semester hours of course work in the physical or biological sciences. Maintenance Technician I

If you like to work with women, infants, and children the Forsyth County WIC Nutrition Program has the job for you. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated Nutritionist who can provide services for the Women, Infants, and Children’s Program (WIC). Main responsibilities include assessing individual medical and dietary histories to determine eligibility, determining appropriate food package, providing nutrition assessment and counseling, breastfeeding promotion and education, completion of care plans. Some teaching and travel between facilities are required. Strong communication and customer service skills are a must. The ability to work within a team of other healthcare professionals, as well as, using your independent judgment is necessary. Computer skills are a must. Previous WIC experience is a plus. Work hours will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am until 5:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am until 8:00 pm and Friday 8:00am until 1:00pm.

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition, public health nutrition, or dietetics and one year of nutrition experience; or completion of a ADA approved dietetic internship with ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration eligibility preferred or master's degree in nutrition or public health nutrition with ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration eligibility preferred. Must have a valid N.C. driver's license.

Additional Minimum RequirementsA minimum of one-year of work experience as a Nutritionist preferred. Registered Dietitian with Commission of Dietetic Registration is a plus.

Telecommunicator
