Synopsis and Discussion

Ozone production, Monday, under mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will push ozone readings to mid code YELLOW. Particle pollution is also pushing into the low MODERATE range. A back door cold front will sag into the region, from the NE, Tuesday. Clouds and a few showers/thunderstorms may develop along and ahead of the front but the coverage should not be widespread enough to drop the AQI from code YELLOW. As the front lingers in the area, early Wednesday, before departing, an additional shower or storm could develop. Once again, the coverage will be minimal, Wednesday, leading to code YELLOW ozone and particle pollution. Slightly higher, mid code YELLOW AQI readings, could occur, Thursday, with warm, mid to upper 80 temperatures expected (GENTRY).
