Who are we?
Adult Services is a division of the Forsyth County Department of Social Services. Our mission is to ensure that all people of Forsyth County receive quality assistance and services, to help them gain a more meaningful and independent life, when possible, and to provide these services in the most timely and efficient way.

What do we do?

Adult services are comprised of various services for adults with disabilities and older adults. Our services include:
	Adult Medicaid
	Adult Protective Services
	Guardianship
	In Home Services Case Management
	In Home Aide Program
	Special Assistance In-Home Program
	Representative Payee Services
	Placement Assistance for individuals who need to move to an adult care facility (assisted living or a nursing home)

We also have staff who provide licensure monitoring of assisted living and adult care homes and investigate facility complaints.
