Qigong Bagua Class Tuesday, August 6 at Walkertown

Qigong is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, breathing and movement exercises. While Yoga is better known in modern society, the interest in Qigong is picking up due to its health benefits.

Bagua is one of the three internal martial arts. It mainly focuses on cultivating the mind, relaxation and meditation. Bagua enhances the mind and helps with adaptability in your life. We all live in a very challenging world, and being able to practice something that helps you to adapt can't be anything but good.

In the Bagua class you will learn to walk a circle. The circle helps with circulation and stimulation of the brain. We'll be changing directions all the time: Bagua helps with changing, adapting and balance. More than anything else, it is fun.

It will be a little challenging in the beginning because the moves are so unfamiliar. But once you get the hang of it I'm sure you'll find it very satisfying.

No special exercise equipment or clothing is required for the class.
