Family Movie Matinee "Wonder" at Walkertown Saturday, February 17 at 12 noon

Join us at Walkertown Branch Library for a family movie matinee as we show the 2017 movie Wonder (PG) starring Julia Roberts, Jacob Tremblay, and Owen Wilson.

Wonder tells the heartwarming and inspiring story of August ("Auggie") Pullman, a boy born with a facial deformity that causes people to stare. Auggie is home-schooled until fifth grade, when his parents enroll him in Beecher Prep. There, his unusual appearance leads to cruel bullying. With the help of his family and close friend Jack, Auggie perseveres and proves to himself and others what a wonder he really is.

Wonder is directed by Stephen Chbosky and distributed by Lionsgate Films. It is based on the critically-acclaimed and bestselling 2012 children's novel of the same name by R. J. Palacio. The book will be available for check out at the front desk.
