Thank You Lewisville Community for your Summer Reading Support

We at the Lewisville Library would like to express our gratitude to all those who attended, volunteered and/or supported our Summer Reading programs this year. Once again, our community was enthusiastic about attending and using the services at Lewisville this summer.

Thousands of materials were borrowed, thanks to NC Cardinal, from all over North Carolina between June and July, and multiple families enjoyed our Kaleideum pass during that time. Around 1,299 reading logs were taken and 419 logs were returned.

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of the Friends of the Lewisville Library, we able to offer popular programs like The Balloon Lady, Mad Science, Yoga, Tai Chi and movie nights. Our room capacities were put to the test with several of these wonderful programs. All in all, we were able to offer 94 programs this summer with 2,243 community attendees.

Last but not least, we'd like to congratulate our 2018 Summer Reading winners from Lewisville. Readers who returned their reading logs were entered into a drawing for one of three $25 Visa gift cards provided by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. Contestants were divided up by age 0-12, 13-17 and 18+ to increase their chances of winning. We appreciate everyone who participated. We also had some bonus prizes donated by local businesses for our participants. We'd like to thank Enchanted Cottage, Divine Yoga, and The Coffee Mill for their generous contributions.
