The History of Black Movie Theaters in Winston-Salem Saturday, February 18th

The program will be a brief history of black movie theaters in Winston-Salem during segregation days, with a bonus extra about the North State Film Company and their feature film made in Winston-Salem in 1921 using local black citizens which showed in theaters across the nation, but is now gone with the wind.

Presented by a local historian Fam Brownlee.
