The Short Story Society reads Sci-Fi

Thursday, January 5 at 4:00 pm in the Clemmons Branch Library auditorium

For our meeting on January 5, the Short Story Society is going to discuss "The Water that Falls On You From Nowhere", a mind-bending, Hugo Award-winning science fiction short story by John Chu. In the world of the near future, water mysteriously falls from the sky whenever someone tells a lie. It can be anything from a light drizzle to a torrential downpour depending on the intensity of the lie. Will Matt be able to hide the fact that he's gay from his traditional Chinese parents without getting soaked?

Haven't heard of the Short Story Society? Not to fret! It's one of Forsyth County Public Library's newest clubs, dedicated to reading and discussing new and classic short stories. We always meet on the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 pm at the Clemmons Branch. All readers aged 15 and up are welcome.

Call 703-3054 for more details or to reserve a copy of the current story.
