Film Series at Reynolda Manor Library

Please join us in the Reynolda Manor Library Auditorium for this series of movie musicals. We begin with a classic Fred Astaire musical from 1953 that includes the familiar song "That's Entertainment!" Next is the multiple Oscar winner starring Liza Minnelli depicting Berlin, Germany in the early 1930's. The last film is also an Oscar winner, from 2002, that comments on the meaning of fame and celebrity. As always, the movies at the library are free and open to the public.

A washed-up Hollywood dancing star tries to make a comeback on Broadway, but he must struggle against his pompous director and his intimidating co-star. Starring Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, and Nanette Fabray. 1953, NR.

The performers in a Berlin night club in 1931 revel in the relaxed morals of the time but are in denial about the political environment that surrounds them. Starring Liza Minnelli and Michael York. 1972, Rated PG.
