Movie Matinee Disaster Film, Wednesday for Teens, Walkertown

Get Away @ the Library on Wed., Oct. 21, with a teen matinee movie from 2:15 - 4:30 pm. Imagine trying to survive a natural disaster that could actually happen in California.

This New Line Cinema production features a popular action hero male lead who portrays a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot. He must navigate amidst destruction to save his ex-wife and their only teenaged daughter when the worst natural disaster in recorded history suddenly happens.

You will feel like you're running for your own life when you see this movie on the big screen. Borrow a realistic or nonfiction survival story when you leave to celebrate Teen Read Week. This year's theme is: Get away @ your library.

Take a break from everyday stress. Head west and jump into an imaginary life-or-death situation. You may forget that you're sitting in Walkertown Branch Library.

This matinee is free and open to students in grades 6 - 12.
Call Walkertown Branch, 336-703-2990, for the movie's title.
