When children and caregivers gather at 10:30 am Tuesdays, a magical moment is shared at the start of each story. Page One brings a fleeting feeling of happy anticipation just before the first word is read. Imaginations lift and resettle, gently, like a quilt tossed over a freshly made bed.
EXHILARATION is the Breeze
That lifts us from the ground,
And leaves us in another place
Whose statement is not found;
Returns us not, but after time
We soberly descend,
A little newer for the term
Upon enchanted ground.
